The Coast Road is a very scenic drive up to Cooktown, passing through Port Douglas,
Cape Trib, Bloomfield, Rossville, and Helenvale with lots of interesting things to do and
see on your way to Cooktown, or up to the Cape.
Home Rule is a beautiful place to stay on your way up to Cooktown, with lots of
peace and tranquility. You can go for a long walk, sit and read a good book, or just
enjoy the peace and quiet. Yes you can swim in the Wallaby Creek which runs
right through Home Rule.

The Jet Ski isn't always there, but over the school holidays the kids had a ball, and the
adults as well. It is very relaxing around water.
Mungumby Lodge is a beautiful place to stay on your way to Cooktown. They have no
telephones in the rooms, however fax, e-mail and message services are available. TV
reception is not available due to the location in the magnificent bushland setting.

After you leave Home Rule on your way up to Cooktown you will see a funny site,
a pig tied up on the side of the road, a horse having a lovely scratch, and a donkey which
doesn't mind a pat or two.
